Landscape Paintings

Eastern Redbud Alley Cat and Creeping Phlox

Landscapes are generally considered the most popular and best-selling subject for paintings, offering universal appeal through scenes of nature. Landscape paintings that are evergreen and floral appeal to a desire for nature and calmness, and can enhance a sense of well-being.  My goal has always been to create paintings that inspire positive feelings and emotions for the people who view and buy my art.

This scene of the Eastern redbud, along with the creeping phlox, has inspired me with the hope and joy that comes at the end of winter. It will be my next challenge to see if I can produce a painting that evokes that same feeling as when I observed the profusion of color. The resulting painting will be included in a future newsletter!
