To the Beach!
Every year, so many of us make that classic trek to the North Carolina coast—and for good reason! With over 300 miles of barrier islands, there’s a little slice of paradise for everyone.
If you’re looking for drama and inspiration, the Outer Banks is unbeatable. Think wild horses, towering lighthouses, and wide-open dunes where the Wright Brothers first took flight. For those who want to slow down completely, Bald Head Island is a car-free dream. You’ll swap traffic for golf carts and bicycles, with a chance to spot nesting sea turtles or explore the pirate haunts near "Old Baldy," our state’s oldest lighthouse.
Traveling with the whole crew? The soft white sands of Emerald Isle are stunning, or you can head to Carolina Beach for that classic summer energy. Between the amusement rides, live music, and weekly fireworks, the boardwalk there is pure magic.
Wherever you end up, I hope you soak up every bit of sun and inspiration!
